Parmvir Singh Boparai
Registered Clinical Counsellor
A designation of BC Association of Clinical Counsellors
Searching for the right counsellor isn’t an easy process, but it is a necessary one. You might have already come across many questions online asking if you’re feeling stressed, overwhelmed, or hopeless. These are definitely important questions you should ask yourself. But how often have you been asked what you can do to overcome these difficulties?
My aim is to help you in overcoming the things that are negatively affecting your quality of life. Helping you decrease stress and achieve the results that you desire is my top priority. I believe this can be accomplished through four important pillars that shape the counselling process.
My Approach
"Each client is their own theory."
- Dr. Carl Rogers
My approach involves tailoring my style of counselling to what suits you best. While my focus primarily stems from evidence-based, Cognitive Behavioural Therapies (such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Mindfulness, and Solution-Focused Therapy), I am careful in recognizing that every individual is their unique own-self with unique preferences. This is why I ensure that my approach works for you.
I have been privileged to work with a wide array of individuals and families with issues regarding depression, anxiety, stress, grief, conflicts in relationships, confusion about direction in life, among other mental health concerns. Some of us might not even be sure why we are experiencing our struggles. The beauty of clinical counselling is that you don’t need to be entirely sure of what is it that is causing you distress. It is a process of both self-discovery and healing.
So please contact me, so that together, we can help you get to where you want to be.
Self-Discovery
Discovering your struggles and your strengths. Learning how you can heal and grow.
Relationship
